Gotta love this new NIke / Livestrong spot. Moving, powerful shit. Please go check out www.livestrong.org and see how you can help, or how they can help you and your loved ones. They are one of the few organizations that understand how to leverage social media and support a community. I am a huge fan of Livestrong, as well as a massive Lance fanboy, and I hope to see him win the tour this year in support of this cause. Something tells me next year he'll be running a Livestrong team in the pro tour.
This past week, Livestrong and Nike also launched a campaign called It's About You, composed of a series of videos from athletes, actors, and regular people that are mapped onto different stages of the upcoming Tour de France. A nice little interactive execution that allows users to upload their own messages on the stages next to the video stories. I'm really excited to see this kind of content break before the tour.
When Lance announced his return to the sport in an effort to further the Livestrong cause, he was making a promise. Content like this is one step closer to fulfilling that promise.
